Instead of lectures we had a group discussion. We took anamnesis from each other connected with sexual health. It was a practical platform to have nurse-client relationship. Afterwards we reflected about how it felt to be a client and also a health professional. We also had time to discuss about sexual health system differences and similarities as a client in our countries. There were some differences between groups when we reflected our group work in the class. So it was nice to hear different ideas about being a client and a health professional.
HIGHLIGHTS: Askings questions about sexual health needs some experience and it should be done by a professional. Here we still can not forget that a professional doesn`t born within 1 day but skills come through practice.
During Ilsa Lottes lecture, we learned that inequality kills more and more people. Education has big impact on sexual health promotion, because it gives women more self-esteem and confidence.
If you don't know your rights, you can't stand up for yourself for an example. E.g I can't say no to have sex with a man, if you don't know your rights. Therefore, nurses has unite with people who are making decisions.
In the afternoon, we went to TukiNainen. It's a non-govermental and non-profit organization which is dealing with rape-traumas. There they showed some paintings reflecting victims' emotions.
Anl alter in the evening, we we went to have a boat-cruise. It was nice too see Jyväskylä from different point of view!
