We learned a lot from group discussion. Sometimes it was difficult to decide what to write in the blog. Because, we had our own opinions and experiences, that differs.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
1) Explore our own experiences through social network as nursing is evidence based and we got to have nice opportunity to explore our practical experience via social network.
2) As we are working with different people with various backgrounds, it is essential to respect other´s values and beliefs. Sometimes, even if we do not agree with our clients. Also, as we have a big impact on people`s health and decisions concerning health, we really need to pay attention to how we act or what we say.
3) We have through the groupdiscussions learned a lot about how the healthcare differs in our countries, although they are not so far from each other. It makes us better nurses/midwifes to know the differences i the world and it´s easier to understand foreign clients.
4) We have learned, how positive talking is way better than negative talking. This course also taught us how we can help our clients to build a stronger relationship/self esteem. It's not always so easy to discuss sensitive issues to person, who we don't know.
5) We have to understand that sexual health is still tabu. Nurses have to be comfortable and prepared talking about sex, meeting clients.
